DuckTale Deaths?!
Tommorow, in “Moonvasion!”, two characters are confirmed to die. At least one of them is a good guy and they’re featured in this poster in spite of their death.
I was pretty shocked to learn about this, but I can’t help but think that there’s going to be a twist attached. Here are some routes I think the finale might take:
Option 1: There won’t be a literal death, but a figurative one.
We’ve already had a couple of these this season: We learned that Duke Baloney “died” when Glomgold decided to take on a fake Scottish persona and the lightning tower incident “killed” Jim Starling when it turned him into Negaduck.
Option 2: Someone will actually die, but they will come back to life.
A lot of these characters are too iconic to be killed off permanently. Some of these characters on the poster just got here while others haven’t showed up yet. It feels weird to bring them in for them to stay dead.
Since the season’s ending, we are reaching the “Louie almost dies” portion of pattern he picked up on in “Game Night”. If it’s someone from the main cast, this makes Louie’s chances pretty high.
There’s a lot of time travel in this season, so the character in question could get revived that way, through magical means, or by ghost like Duckworth.
Option 3: A supporting or minor character will die.
If someone’s gonna go and stay gone, it would more than likely be someone who doesn’t have the strongest impact on DuckTales as a whole. If this happens, the top three would likely be Manny, Lil Bulb and Penumbra.
I’m not sure how Manny could die, but there are multiple Lil Bulbs; the one featured in the poster could possibly break. Penumbra could end up sacrificing her life in an act of heroism similarly to how Lena did in “Shadow War”.
Perhaps one of the deaths will be someone even more minor than we’re expecting... Could there be something significant to the watermelon wearing Donald’s sailor hat?
Option 4: The death is fake.
This could go either two ways: The character is believed to be dead, but they’re actually alive or the character will pretend to be dead to fool someone or escape a situation. It’s likely that Lunaris will state that Donald is dead due to the launcher’s extremely low survival rate. Also, Scrooge previously faked his death to get Glomgold to admit that he was the one who was messing with him in “87 Cent Solution”.
Whatever the show will do with this, it’s gonna be crazy.
WAIT, I was right about lil' bulb breaking, does he count?? Three deaths??
