Oh my goodness, guysss...😭

I had my heart set on creating a short comic for Christmas. I had the thumbnail drawings done when I was planning out additional content for my Fall piece. But like that situation, I had to axe it due to time. 😢 I was struggling with what the driving force of the story should be and by the time that solidified, it was a day before Christmas Eve. 😕 There was no way I'd be able to finish...what, 10+ panels? In time for the deadline. I couldn't see myself doing a good job within this timeframe; I'd rather not bother to do it instead of making it look sloppy. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Once I accepted that, I thought about other ways to work around this. I wanted to keep trying to finish the comic anyway to see if I could still post it before January. I also wondered if I should give an exclusive sneak peek on this blog and then later post it next December. Or that maybe I should just hold off on releasing the comic entirely until the right time came back around. 

I then later remembered that the first day of Hanukkah was on Christmas this year! This made me even MORE upset that I didn't have my comic done. That was it; I was not going to sit here and miss out on an opportunity like this. It's too perfect for Delpad! I had to draw something to commemorate this rare occurrence! >:U

This was the day of, so, I needed something that wouldn't take long...I didn't want to clip anything out of my comic just to get part of it out there. My thinking soon morphed into drawing the chibis again! They were very convenient! It didn't take long to draw them, but I had to take a break after inking the lineart--I couldn't stay in my room when there's Christmas-family-stuff going on downstairs. 🎄┐(´ー｀)┌ If I tried to, I'm sure they wouldn't let me, lol.

While I did get back to it like I had planned, it wasn't as soon as I intended to. It was getting late, so I decided not to spend any more time correcting the lineart for the lower halves of the sketches and just focused on the tops. I still ran out of time...😑 It's always some kinda story, isn't it? This year hasn't been all that great for the deadlines I've been setting up...😒

I'll keep this piece here as an exclusive. I think it came out ok, but I was in a rush. I should finish the complete drawings and recycle them for something better. 🤔

most either celebrate it up to the 25 or the day itself

not so much after, that's waiting for new year's

the comic was very christmas oriented

i really wanted that intersection... :\
