April 15th, 2024 was the day 

I shared this blog for the very first time! 🥳🎂🎉

I really wanted the site's public opening to coincide with HDL's screen debut, due to the reboot acknowledging this date as their birthday and how closely it's tied with Della's departure. This site is ALL about events, confirmed and potentially, surrounding The Spear of Selene; it couldn't be any more fitting to do this. But the site still wasn't quite ready yet, so, I only shared it through my Instagram account. This soft opening eventually led into making it available to search engines on June 16th, 2024. Similarly to the first date, I did this to tie-in with that year's Father's Day because of how that also matches the theme I'm going for, heh. :3c

With the help of all the previously made posts from my original DuckTales side-blog, that is. 😅

✨Somewhere close to 4.66K pageviews!✨

Though, I must admit, a sizable chunk of these are probably mine.😶 I just recently found out about "Manage tracking your own pageviews" at the bottom of the Stats page. It leads to a new tab where you have to check a box to omit your own visits to your blog. I'm glad I found that feature, I was complaining about how my pageviews shouldn't count. Wish I had discovered it earlier, but it looks like I'll have to keep checking the box every time I close the browser...? Not sure what I could be doing wrong if that's on me...if that's just how it works...that's annoying.

As you may have noticed by now, I made some updates to the site on the day of:

• A New Favicon! I edited it together from a screenshot of the Spear going through the storm. I added some stars, and thought it needed a circle behind it. 

    

Now it kinda looks like the Magic School Bus logo, lol

• A new site description!  I became encouraged to use BDNF again late last year, but this will still be the more detailed version of the blog, where I feel most comfortable sharing the extended length of my thoughts. 

• New navigation! I found a code to make custom tabs and dropdown menus! 😀 This is a much better way to get to the subpages! But of course, it looks very bad on mobile. 😑 Here's what it's supposed to look like:

Don't like how off centered it looks on other pages, but eh. 🤷🏾‍♀️ 

Maybe next, I can look into whether it's possible to do something about that...and my titles being converted to all caps. 🤔

(No, I was never yelling on purpose! xD  ...I did for this entry though, lol)

• More images for The Delpad Gallery! This was a more hidden change; I added pictures to the Out-of-Show section! Yeah, in spite of them largely being kept apart, they did both manage to show up in other things. 😊

I originally wanted to have the Not-So-Delpad section out before OoS, but as I was trying to get that organized, I knew it was going to need some more time. 😬 There's a number of other things I considered for the anniversary that I knew wouldn't be completed, so, I'm now planning on doing a second drop on the 30th! There might even be a page posted sooner than that! 👀 And a process vid about the piece I made at the top! 👀 If I get either done before the 30th, I'll add 'em to the list here.
