About that joke book...
I think there might be a cryptic thing or two inside of it that will end up having a bigger meaning later on in the show.
I'm 100% convinced that the writers are using humor to mask important information. And they've been doing a good amount of that through Launchpad.
Think about it: He kept trying to talk about being a pilot, he got ignored, Scrooge discovered he's a pilot and we later discovered Della was one as well. Even though it was the wrong person, he freaked out about one of the kids being dangerous in the "Terror" episode, and Lena is. Scrooge kept scolding Launchpad about eating burritos and how foolish it was to incorporate them into the rebellion, but that very food item ended up being the motivation the mummies needed to rise up against Toth-Ra. LP tried to explain to Scrooge that he’s about to go help someone in need, he got ignored, we discovered some new elements about his character and we’re left with some highly symbolic hints possibly regarding the Spear of Selene mystery.
Also, the author of the book is someone who works directly on the show, so it's not being written by just anybody. This is the perfect opportunity to slip in some show hints that could easily be disregarded due to them being told through humor.
...Or this book was purely meant to be as the title suggests: A fun little joke book to entertain the fans.
We'll just have to wait and see...
